About Us

Welcome to Sheikh Siraj Rahman College of Islamic Studies

Sheikh Siraj Rahman College of Islamic Studies, formerly known as the College of Islamic Studies in Mombasa, was established in 1995. The institution offered a range of bachelor's programs in Islamic studies and was affiliated with the International University of Africa, Khartoum, Sudan. The college attracted students from the Muslim community across the East African region and maintained a strong reputation for over 25 years. However, due to administrative and financial challenges, as well as dissatisfaction from its donors, the college was forced to close. Additionally, the International University of Africa, Khartoum, Sudan, ceased issuing certificates to graduates. As a result, the institution remained shut down for approximately four years.

The college has also been granted and permitted by TVET CDACC to spearhead a process of developing carricula for Certificate and Diploma in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies.
